Jasminder Brar

Jasminder Brar serves as an advisor to MyndTec, assisting with strategic initiatives, planning and intellectual property strategy. He has over 15 years of experience in legal counseling, IP management, IP based collaborations and licensing, and corporate governance and management. As an experienced IAM 300 ranked IP strategist, Mr. Brar is an expert in assisting start-up companies establish foundational IP strategies that result in meaningful outcomes. Mr. Brar most recently served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Titan Medical (TSX: TMD; Nasdaq: TMDI) where he established and managed the company’s legal, IP and corporate governance programs, resulting in strategic collaborations and IP licensing transactions with leading medical technology companies. Prior to Titan Medical, Mr. Brar was a lawyer with Smart & Biggar in Vancouver, British Columbia where he practiced IP and technology law, and earlier worked as an engineer and in technical marketing with National Semiconductor in Santa Clara, California. Mr. Brar is deeply passionate about innovation that enhances the quality of life and the role of intellectual property in driving, supporting and testing such innovation. He has a law degree and a BSc in computer engineering, both from the University of Manitoba.
